Connecticut Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the
United States Department of Commerce can help you
explore new frontiers. According to Anne
Evans, Executive Director of the Connecticut office for
the U.S. Department of Commerce, "this
program brings great opportunity to the
northeastern Connecticut's business community. You
can learn from the experts how to navigate cultural
differences, build relationships and find a market for
your product across the globe".
Business members wishing to meet with a representative

opportunities for exporting your product should contact

Business After Hours

Chamber networking
events have become more popular than ever before.
Currently, the Chamber staff is booking Business After
Hour programs into 2010. 'Networking', a popular
buzz word of the 90's, originally focused on making
contacts to help secure a job. Today, the whole
networking concept is still an important business tool.
Essentially, it's about meeting and greeting as many
people as you can and making every connection count. By
actively participating in After Hour events you become
known to others, and those contacts may eventually help
you to expand your career. Networking can provide your
business with prospects, sources of information,
products and services, and that most elusive of all
benefits to any business, sources of referrals.
Businesses of all size and specialty have hosted
Business After Hour programs. Some of the most
successful have been when two or more businesses agree
to co-sponsor an event and the setting provides a
variety of interest, creativity and contacts. Events
scheduled for the next couple of months
include:
