Founded in 1882, Day Kimball

Day Kimball Hospital is
a 103-bed, acute care, community hospital located
in Putnam, CT. Day Kimball offers a comprhensive
array of inpatient, ambulatory and outpatient healthcare
services to meet the community's needs. The Hale
Medical Pavillion (see above) is the latest addition
to the hospital and houses four state-of-the-art
operating rooms, a post anesthesia care unit and
the Center for Women and Infants Health.
Other Day Kimball Hospital
agencies include Day Kimball Home Care, a Medicare
certified home health agency; Hospice of Northeastern
Connecticut, a Medicare certified hospice; Northeast
Homemakers, a homemaker, chore and companion agency.
Advanced and highly specialized
healthcare services are provided to patients through
Day Kimball Hospital's affiliations with the nearby
major medical centers.

United Services, Inc.
United Servies is Connecticut's most comprehensive
nonprofit behavioral health center and serves the
twenty-one northeastern Connecticut communities.
United Services has three clinical locations; Dayville,
Columbia and Willimantic and numerous off-site
programs. A staff of over 165 includes licensed
psychiatrists, social workers, marriage and family
therapists, certified substance abuse counselors
and employee assistance professionals.
The Center is accredited by the Joint Commision
on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. In
addition, the Center holds its third three-year
accreditation from CARF, the Rehabilitation Accreditation
Commision, for Addiction Recover, Child and Family,
Adult Outpatient and Adult Behavioral Health Programs.
United Services Programs Include:
Adult Outpatient Mental Health Services provides
individual, couple and group therapy. Addiction
Recovery Services serves people with addictive
behaviors as well as family members affected by
the disease. The Domestic Violence Program provides
counseling, referral and shelter to victims of
domestic violence and has four transitional living
apartments available for women and children who
have no other options. Child and Family Services
provides individual, group and family therapy for
children, adolescents and their families. Included
in services are the Family Violence Outreach Program:
Intensive Family Preservation; Parent Aide Program;
PETALOS, a multicultural parent support and education
center; Young Parents Program; and Intensive Outpatient
Program for Youth.
Adult Behavioral Health Programs provide a wide
range of community-based supports for adults with
psychiatric and emotional disabilties. Crisis intervention
and emergency services are available 24 hours a
day, 7 days a week, 365 days of the year. Services
include case management, supportive and/or supervised
housing, social and vocational rehabilitation programs.
The Employee Assistance Program provides services
to business and industry. In addition to EAP contracts,
training, consultations and workshops are available.
United Services has served the northeastern Connecticut
communities for over thirty-four years. Expansion
into the Windham area took place approximately
twenty years ago.
